The Lion's Pantry

Free Community Pantry at St Mark’s

The Lion’s Pantry is a simple way to support anyone who needs help with food.

  • It is a free community pantry. No sign-up. No questions.
  • If you need something, take what you need.
  • If you can give something, please do.

You will find the pantry in the shed outside the church hall at St Mark’s,
180 Hawthorn Drive.

It is open every day.

How it works

  • Take food if you need it
  • Leave food if you can
  • Respect others by taking only what you need
  • Check dates before donating

This works because people give and people receive.
That’s it.

How you can help

You can support the pantry in two ways.

1. Donate food

You can leave items directly in the shed outside the church hall.

Useful items include:

  • Tinned food, beans, soup, vegetables
  • Pasta, rice, noodles
  • Tea, coffee, long-life milk
  • Cereals and snacks
  • Toiletries

Please make sure food is sealed and in date.

2. Give financially

Money helps us keep the pantry stocked when donations run low.

Every £10 can provide several meals.
Regular giving helps keep the shelves full week after week.

Donate funds

Your donation will be used to buy food for the pantry.

Donate to the pantry

Suggested amounts:

  • £5 helps top up essentials
  • £10 provides a small food shop
  • £25 helps restock the pantry
  • £50 supports the pantry for several days

 Location

A simple invitation

If you need help, come.
If you can help, give.
If you know someone struggling, tell them.

No one should go without food.

How can we pray for you?

God hears every prayer, and we believe he cares about every part of your life, not just the practical needs. If you’d like us to bring something before him on your behalf, please tell us. It would be a privilege.

Sharing preferences

Used only to pray for your intention and, if needed, reply to you. Not shared beyond the parish.
